Climate Summit 13-15 March, ANU Canberra

The grassroots climate movement summit is happening in Canberra at the Australian National University between 13-15 March.

This is a chance for all those community activists wanting to campaign on climate change to get together to discuss the issues, the strategies, the tactics and work out a plan to provide a safe climate future.

You’ll meet great people, hear some great ideas and come back energised to make a difference in this important election year.

Campaign streams at the summit include:

  • 100% renewables
  • Coal campaigning
  • Climate emergency
  • Vote Climate
  • Green jobs and trade unions

Workshops at the summit include:

  • Critiques of carbon trading, technology and the growth economy
  • Sorting fact from fission: Can nuclear power solve climate change?
  • Justice, ethics and organising the climate movement
  • Climate litigation
  • The faith scene – strengths and opportunities
  • Protecting forests: how do we get it right?
