What is a Climate Group?

A collection of individuals concerns about climate change who meet in their local area to discuss what they can do to make a difference.

Activties of climate action groups can vary from holding information stalls and public meeting to educate the public about climate change, lobbying politicians and local councils for better policies, organising and attending conferences and rallies like Walk Against Warming, or even just discussing the issues.

Meetings

CAN meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at the Hunter Community Environment Centre at 169 Parry Street Hamilton East/Newcastle West from 6.30 pm. (There are no meetings on any 5th Wednesdays of the month.) Everyone is welcome!
